information on food allergy testing
The human body provides all kinds of information. This information can be interpreted through a method called Muscle Testing. A specific mode of this testing is called Applied Kinesiology. Applied Kinesiology practitioners describe Applied Kinesiology in the following manner: "Applied Kinesiology was founded in 1964 by the American chiropractor George Goodheart and is now used by chiropractors, osteopaths, medical doctors, dentists and others with a license to diagnose. Dr. George Goodheart found that evaluation of normal and abnormal body function could be accomplished by using muscle tests. Since the original discovery, the principle has broadened to include evaluation of the nervous, vascular, and lymphatic systems, nutrition, acupuncture, and cerebrospinal fluid function." In part, Applied Kinesiology is used by chiropractors, combined with elaborate knowledge of the skeletal and musculatory system, to find which parts of the body need adjustment and to check if an adjustment has been successfully made.
The muscle testing that Monica Levin uses in her practice has a different focus than that of traditional Applied Kinesiology. Applied Kinesiology uses hundreds of different muscle tests in the body while the muscle testing that Monica Levin uses involves only one muscle in the body. Doing this muscle test allows Monica Levin to get answers from the client's body that are submerged and unknown to the conscious mind, and these answers are not biased by wishful thinking or social maneuvering. Monica Levin uses muscle testing to get answers about physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual issues. Since this testing method can be performed without the client consciously knowing what is being tested it is much more likely to give an honest assessment of what is going on than the client's, or Monica's, analytical thinking is.
Monica Levin finds a muscle that is usually strong (she uses the deltoid muscles, i.e. the arm) and it becomes the testing muscle. The client sits in a chair and stretches one straight arm horizontally in front of them. Monica instructs the client to resist and then presses down on the arm. Monica then notices if the arm holds up to being pressed down (hence resists and is strong), or if it gives in and becomes weak. A strong arm is assigned to mean "yes" and weak arm to mean "no". With the "yes" and "no" answers available from the client's body Monica can then get information that will lead the client to better health.
In food allergy testing Monica has the client hold glass vials which contain food concentrates. The client's arm muscle will either be strong (indicating that the food is good for them) or weak (indicating that the client is to avoid that food substance).
